"The advancement of our strategic partnership has great potential, from security cooperation to technology and innovation, to the acquirement of skilled workers," Wadephul wrote on social media, having described India on Monday as a "central global partner" when it comes to Germany's economic and strategic ambitions.
In Bengaluru, known as India's "Silicon Valley" due to its booming IT industry, Wadephul is expected to meet Indian students studying German at the local Goethe Institut before visiting the headquarters of India's space agency, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). After visiting Indian branches of major German firms including Mercedes-Benz and SAP, Wadephul will travel onwards to New Delhi, where political meetings are scheduled for Wednesday.
