Byson James Kete Turner, a former director of Links Support and Consulting Services Pty Ltd., is accused of unlawfully transferring $858,948 from the NDIS provider to personal gambling and trading accounts. ASIC alleges 2,782 separate transfers occurred between September 4, 2019 and July 18, 2022 to accounts under his name. Turner faces eight counts of dishonestly using his position as a director, each carrying a maximum 15-year sentence, and two counts of failing to attend compulsory ASIC examinations, each punishable by up to two years' imprisonment. ASIC says Turner failed to attend compelled examinations on 10 and 30 May 2024. The matter was heard in Perth Magistrates Court on February 6, 2026 and adjourned to April 17, 2026, with prosecution by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
