Raducanu had sought to move on from a straight-sets defeat in the Transylvania Open final and had split from coach Francisco Roig earlier in the season. She won the opening set 6-2 but Osorio regrouped to take the second set 6-4. Raducanu was broken early in the deciding set, called for the physio, had her blood pressure checked, returned to court and then retired after losing the next game.
