Do you have pizza and beer?' Scottish brothers complete 140-day nonstop row across Pacific
Briefly

Three brothers rowed nonstop more than 14,000 km across the Pacific from Peru to Cairns in 140 days, setting a new record for the full crossing. Violent storms forced detours and one storm swept a brother overboard, complicating the voyage and delaying arrival plans. The effort raised more than $1.64m to fund clean-water projects that will benefit 40,000 people in Madagascar through the Maclean Foundation. The trio rowed into Cairns Marlin Marina to bagpipes, waving Scottish, Australian and British flags, and were embraced by over 50 friends and family before enjoying a freshly baked margherita pizza.
Three Scottish brothers have set a new record for rowing nonstop across the world's largest ocean, arriving in Australia to the tune of bagpipes and a fresh pizza after 140 days at sea. Jamie, Ewan and Lachlan Maclean covered more than 14,000km from Peru to Cairns, where they became the first team to finish the full crossing just before midday on Saturday.
The money they raised will fund projects that provide clean water to 40,000 people living in Madagascar through the brothers' charity the Maclean Foundation.
