A displaced Palestinian child sheltered in the central Gaza Strip as negotiators convened in Cairo for talks aimed at ending nearly two years of war. Hundreds gathered in Trafalgar Square to protest the banning of Palestine Action, with almost 500 arrests. Israeli attacks near the Nuseirat refugee camp left few buildings standing. Police clashed with demonstrators at an immigrant processing centre in Broadview amid Operation Midway Blitz. Cars and rubbish bins were set on fire after a pro-Palestinian march. A collective funeral was held after a drone attack killed eleven civilians in a gang-controlled slum. Electoral colleges gathered outside the national library to vote on parliamentary candidates.
