"Any company or individual who engages in arms sales to Taiwan will pay the price for the wrongdoing," they added."
"strongly deplores and firmly opposes"
China announced sanctions on 20 U.S. defense companies and 10 senior executives, citing U.S. arms sales to Taiwan as the motive. The measures freeze assets within China, bar domestic organizations and individuals from doing business with listed entities, and deny visas and entry to named individuals. The sanctions target firms including Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Boeing's St. Louis branch, Epirus, and Anduril founder Palmer Luckey. The move followed a U.S. announcement of an $11 billion military package for Taiwan that includes self-propelled Howitzers and HIMARS rocket launchers. China reiterates that Taiwan is a core interest and a red line.
