Internal Security Forces and Tripoli municipal police evacuated adjacent buildings amid a heavy army deployment. The state news agency reported eight injured people had been rescued. President Joseph Aoun ordered emergency services on high alert and shelter provision. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam pledged housing allowances for evacuated residents and urged political restraint.
