Bryson, Rahm, Smith pledge commitments to LIV
"I had no idea, no idea that that would happen,"
"No idea what the penalties would even be. Right now, I've got a contract. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do at LIV Golf this year."
"[A] very similar answer to what Bryson gave. I wish Brooks the best. As far as I'm concerned, I'm focused on the league and my team this year, and hopefully we can repeat as champions again."
"I made a decision to come out here and spend more time at home, and I'm not giving that away. I'll be on LIV for years to come."
Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith and Jon Rahm plan to remain with LIV Golf for the upcoming season. DeChambeau is in the final year of his LIV Golf contract. Rahm is believed to have at least two years remaining on his LIV deal. Smith emphasized a desire to spend more time at home and commit long-term to LIV. Brooks Koepka returned to the PGA Tour. A Returning Member Program allows certain LIV players absent at least two years who won majors or the Players Championship since 2022 to rejoin the PGA Tour under strict conditions and heavy financial penalties. DeChambeau won the 2024 U.S. Open, Rahm won the 2023 Masters, and Smith won the 2022 Players Championship and Open Championship, making them eligible under the program.
