"Anthony Joshua was involved in a road traffic accident in Nigeria on Monday that resulted in two deaths. The former two-time heavyweight champion is understood to have suffered only minor injuries. Joshua was travelling in the rear of a vehicle on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Sagamu, an area connected to his family heritage, when the crash occurred. Police confirmed that two people lost their lives as a result of the collision."

Footage circulating online showed Joshua shirtless in a damaged vehicle, appearing shaken. Promoter Eddie Hearn said efforts were being made to contact Joshua and police said a press release will be issued.
