Another inmate in that wing is Anderson Torres, Bolsonaro's former minister and an alleged accomplice in the coup scheme. Papuda houses high-profile political prisoners and leaders of organized crime and is among Brazil's most heavily guarded prisons. Bolsonaro was sentenced in September to 27 years in prison for leading the coup plot.
