Big John Fisher, a British social media personality with almost 700,000 Instagram followers known for fast-food reviews, travelled to Perth on a tourist visa while scheduled for paid appearances. Australian Border Force detained him for four hours, saying his visa did not permit others to profit from his work for the companies he was representing. Fisher said he was held in a holding hotel, had his wallet and possessions confiscated, and was forced to return to England on Wednesday, canceling appearances in Perth and Sydney. Fisher described the detention as one of the worst experiences of his life.
