Arraf also said that the Australian government would be showing a blatant disregard for its international legal obligations by allowing Herzog to enter Australia without an AFP investigation."

The groups — the Australian Centre for International Justice, Al-Haq, and the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights — submitted a 10-page dossier detailing the allegations and Australia's obligations under international and domestic law. The groups assert that Australia has legal authority and responsibility to act when credible international findings of incitement exist and domestic accountability has not occurred. Concerns were heightened because Herzog is due to visit Sydney on February 7 at the invitation of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
