Mustafizur Rahman (3-28), Nasum Ahmed (2-11) and Taskin Ahmed (2-34) applied regular pressure with wickets to contain the Afghan chase. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 35 and Azmatullah Omarzai 30, while Rashid Khan hit 20 late in the innings but was dismissed before completing the chase. Noor Ahmad struck a couple of late sixes but Afghanistan still fell short. Bangladesh finish with four points and need Sri Lanka to beat Afghanistan to advance.
