Kim, after a decade out, returned to golf in 2024 as a reserve on the LIV circuit."
"Kim admitted he was feeling blessed just to be alive, let alone contending in golf tournaments. "It's to get 1% better every day, stay sober, enjoy time with my family - and whatever happens, happens, because all I can do is try my best," he said on Thursday. Kim produced his Sunday best to eclipse Rahm as other challengers came, then went. DeChambeau finished 17 under, alongside Englishman Tyrell Hatton and American Peter Uihlein."
Anthony Kim won the LIV Adelaide tournament by three shots over Jon Rahm after a final-round, nine-under 63 to finish 23 under. Kim stopped playing in 2014 amid alcohol and drug addiction and has been sober for three years. He returned to golf in 2024 as a LIV reserve, lost his card, regained status through an international play-off, and joined Dustin Johnson's 4Aces team. Kim’s redemption round included nine birdies and a tournament-winning stretch of five birdies in six holes from the 12th. Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau shared the overnight lead at 19 under, but Rahm shot one under on Sunday while DeChambeau faltered early.
