Anthony Joshua, 36, was a rear-seat passenger in a black Lexus that crashed into a stationary commercial truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Makun, about 30 miles from Lagos. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reported that excessive speed and wrongful overtaking were suspected factors. Five adult men were in the vehicle; two people died, one sustained injuries, and two escaped unhurt. Joshua was rescued alive, taken to hospital, and sustained minor injuries. FRSC operatives arrived within three minutes of notification and conducted swift rescue operations. The Lexus carried registration KRD 850 HN.
