Another Gaza Flotilla Boat Attacked By Israeli Drone, Activists Say
"Video evidence suggests that a drone - with no light so it could not be seen - dropped a device that set the deck of the Alma boat on fire. Expert sources suggest that it was an incendiary grenade wrapped in plastic materials dipped in fuel, which could have been set on fire before landing on the ship," said Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories."
""While a full investigation is ongoing, the presence of such a device provides further indication that the boat was deliberately targeted," the group said."
"The group identified it as a "charred electronic device.""
Two boats of the Global Sumud Flotilla were struck by flaming objects while sailing toward Gaza, with one attack hitting the Alma in Tunisian waters under the British flag. Video shows a large explosion and deck fire; the crew extinguished the flames and no injuries were reported. UN special rapporteur Francesca Albanese said video evidence suggests a low-visibility drone dropped an incendiary device resembling a grenade wrapped in fuel-soaked plastic. A photograph shows a mangled metal tube attached to mesh, identified as a charred electronic device. The group says the attack appears deliberate and an investigation is ongoing.
