Protesters burned tyres in response to a curfew imposed after unrest over a social media ban and allegations of political corruption. The Israeli military dropped leaflets urging residents to leave ahead of a planned offensive, prompting families to flee and buildings to be struck. A defence exhibition displayed ammunition manufacturer stands while the Garnet fire devastated over 22,000 hectares in the Sierra national forest. A fatal collision between a doubledecker bus and a train killed at least 10 and injured more than 40. Controlled venting at a dam addressed heavy rainfall, and a tube strike left trains parked and caused transport chaos.
