After Trump Snub, Venezuelan Oppositional Leader Machado Says She'd Share Nobel Peace Prize With Him
"I certainly would love to be able to personally tell him that we believe, the Venezuelan people, because this is a prize of the Venezuelan people, certainly want to give it to him, and share it with him,"
"If she had turned it down and said, 'I can't accept it because it's Donald Trump's,' she'd be the president of Venezuela today,"
"she made her dedication to Trump because she "believed at that point he deserved it.""
María Corina Machado, Venezuelan opposition leader and 2025 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, said she would be willing to give or share the prize with Donald Trump. She dedicated the award to Trump when she accepted it. Several sources said Trump viewed her acceptance as the 'ultimate sin' because he had wanted her to refuse the prize; those sources added that had she refused, she would be president of Venezuela. Machado told Sean Hannity that the Venezuelan people want to give and share the prize with Trump and said she believed at the time that he deserved it. Her formal acceptance speech did not name Trump.
