"African Lion, which has been running since 2004, is the largest U.S. annual joint military exercise on the continent and usually features high-ranking military officials from the U.S. and its top African allies."
Two U.S. service members went missing in southwestern Morocco during the African Lion military exercises. The incident occurred near the Cap Draa Training Area. A search and rescue operation has been initiated by the U.S. Africa Command, which is currently investigating the situation.
