Sorin Lerner, currently serving as professor and chair at UC San Diego's Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has been appointed as the new dean of the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. His five-year term starts on November 1, succeeding Kavita Bala, the college's inaugural dean.
