SEWP's long-tenured leader is calling it a career
"Your leadership, intelligence, vision, work ethic, and creative/technical mind and skills are the stuff "legends" are made of. While NASA and the Federal Government will miss your skills and expertise, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to continue your service when you're ready to do so."
"My goal is not to retire but to find a new opportunity which proves a new opportunity for me to use whatever talents and skills I might have."
Joanne Woytek announced her retirement from NASA after leading the SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement) program for over two decades. She previously indicated in September 2023 that SEWP VI would be her final project. Woytek plans to remain through October 17 to oversee the transition of SEWP VI, which NASA aims to award by late April. Government Accountability Office protests may delay the timeline, but her departure date should allow sufficient time for awards and potential transition to the General Services Administration. Despite retiring from NASA, Woytek expressed interest in pursuing new opportunities to apply her skills and expertise.
