Riley Keough Opened Up About The "Messy" Nature Of Filmmaking
Briefly

Riley Keough, alongside filmmaker Gina Gammell, discussed their latest limited series at the Tribeca Festival, inspired by the Tribeca Chanel Women's Filmmaker Program. This program supports women and non-binary filmmakers with mentorship and funding. Keough highlighted the messy nature of filmmaking and the necessity of being open and vulnerable in creative collaborations. She also remarked on the unique challenges faced by women in directorial roles and the importance of asking questions to foster learning and growth in the industry.
Intentionally, we were very open because we were kind of going through the process... but you really have to embrace the messiness of it because it's such a messy experience as is filmmaking after all.
Just having those conversations with people you're collaborating with and being open and vulnerable makes for a much better performance... it takes so much strength to say you don't know something.
