Charlotte Webb, known as Betty, passed away at 101 years old. As a young woman, she played a crucial role at Bletchley Park during WWII, decoding enemy signals and contributing to the Allied war effort. Serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service, she began her work in 1941, studying domestic sciences before choosing to support her country. Over the years, her contributions to the decoding of German and Japanese messages were pivotal in ensuring the safety of Allied ships. Webb received various honors, including the Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2015 and the Legion d'Honneur in 2021, respecting her vital service during the war.
