Olivia Cleary, an Oregon-based KEZI reporter, was interrupted during a live report at the Oregon State versus Lafayette game by a group of men who shouted, put a head and hand into the camera frame, and taunted her with phrases like "six-seven" and "Help! Help me!" KEZI staff and viewers called the behavior extremely frustrating and ridiculous, and a KEZI sports director shared the clip. Beaver Athletics said the actions did not reflect Beaver Nation values or the fan code of conduct. Viewers noted Cleary appeared visibly upset and the clip drew broad online criticism.
