Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd of UConn made the AP All-America first team, marking the first time teammates achieved this honor in six years. Strong was a unanimous selection, averaging 18.5 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 60.1% from the field in her sophomore season. Fudd contributed 17.7 points and 4.2 rebounds with a 43.6% three-point shooting percentage. This marks the 10th instance of teammates making the first team, with seven involving UConn players. The complete first team also includes Mikayla Blakes of Vanderbilt, who led the nation in scoring with 27 points per game, Lauren Betts of UCLA, and Madison Booker of Texas.
