Elise Chabbey won the Tour de Romandie Féminin, marking her first stage race victory. Blanka Vas claimed the final stage in Aigle with a strong sprint. Overnight leader Urška Žigart struggled on the final climb, ultimately finishing second overall. Chabbey led the front three on the final climb, executing a strategic attack while others faltered. After a strong descent, Vas caught up but secured her stage win while Chabbey celebrated her significant career milestone in proximity to her childhood home.
"After yesterday, I was very happy," Chabbey said after the stage, having won stage 2 on Saturday. "This morning, we said we have nothing to lose. We had a plan and we executed it well."
"We wanted it to be hard on the climbs and for Juliette [Labous] to follow the attacks, and I could attack on the last climb. I wasn't feeling that great, but my legs felt good enough to push through."
