The Bulldogs missed 14 consecutive field goal attempts over a span of 13 minutes, 43 seconds, before Mallory Miller hit a jumper with 3:13 left in the second quarter. UConn scored 48 points off 29 Butler turnovers and outscored the Bulldogs 50-12 in the paint."
UConn defeated Butler 94-47 in Indianapolis, extending its winning streak to 29 games and improving to 13-0 (4-0 Big East). Sarah Strong scored 15 points and added seven assists, six rebounds and three steals. Azzi Fudd contributed 13 points and Blanca Quinonez scored 12. Butler fell to 7-7 (1-3) as Caroline Dotsey and Addison Baxter each had 10 points. Butler endured long scoring droughts, missed numerous consecutive shots and committed 29 turnovers that led to 48 UConn points. UConn outscored Butler 50-12 in the paint. UConn travels to Providence next; Butler visits Creighton on Jan. 4.
