Preview: FC Bayern Women vs. Wolfsburg, Supercup

FC Bayern Women will start the 2025/26 campaign in the Google Pixel Supercup against Wolfsburg at the BBBank Wildpark Stadion in Karlsruhe with kick-off at 2pm CEST. Pre-season results included a 3-1 loss to Newcastle United, a 2-2 draw with Zürich, a five-day training camp in Tyrol under new coach José Barcala, a 4-1 win over Real Madrid and a 4-1 defeat to OL Lyonnes. Wolfsburg prepared with four friendlies under new coach Stephan Lerch, including a 6-0 win over Sparta Prague and a final 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern and Wolfsburg met three times last season, with Bayern lifting the Supercup via Klara Bühl's goal.
Pre-season is done and now the Munich Frauen get down to the real business of winning trophies, starting in the very first fixture of the season. After a 3-1 friendly loss to Newcastle United and a 2-2 draw with Zürich, new coach José Barcala took his team on a five-day training camp in Tyrol. Bayern returned by beating Real Madrid 4-1 in Munich, although then lost their final friendly by the same scoreline against OL Lyonnes.
Wolfsburg played four friendly matches in the build-up to the new campaign. They first lost 3-2 to RB Leipzig before a 6-0 victory over Sparta Prague. That was then followed by a 2-0 defeat to Bundesliga newcomers Union Berlin. New coach Stephan Lerch and his team finally warmed up for the new season with a 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen.
