The Femmily is a women-only dance studio located at 435 5th Ave. in New York City, founded by Valeriia Timoshova with the mission to empower women to feel confident, connected, and comfortable in their own bodies. Timoshova, who grew up dancing in Russia, moved to the U.S. at age 20 and discovered that NYC's dance scene primarily catered to professional dancers, making beginner classes intimidating and competitive. Recognizing this gap, she created The Femmily to provide a judgment-free, pressure-free environment for women of all levels. Founded in 2022 with the first physical studio opening in 2023, The Femmily has rapidly grown from approximately 1,000 clients to over 5,000. The studio now offers online classes to reach broader audiences and plans future expansion to additional locations.
