The Miss USA system experienced five years of turmoil including a rigging investigation, sexual harassment and bullying allegations, and unprecedented resignations of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. Thom Brodeur, founder and CEO of Brodeur Beauty and longtime pageant coach and judge, acquired the rights to Miss USA and Miss Teen USA and assumed leadership. Laylah Rose initially posted that she remained in charge and had not seen any new contracts regarding transfer of ownership, while the Miss Universe Organization confirmed Brodeur's acquisition. Brodeur announced the 2025 pageants for October 23 and 24 in Reno, Nevada. Noelia Voigt encouraged contestants to reenter the system, expressing optimism about change.
