"The moment Nebraska was called as Miss USA 2025, that's when I said to myself, 'Here we go, my life has changed,'"
"I knew I was going to be ready to hit the ground running."
"We're at very different stages in our lives, but we were all there for one common goal, and that was to bring back the power of pageantry and compete for the title of Miss USA."
Audrey Eckert, 23, won Miss USA on October 24 and flew to Thailand a week later to begin competing at Miss Universe 2025. Eckert started competing in pageants at age nine and views Miss Universe as a lifelong goal. The 2025 Miss USA competition featured unprecedented diversity, including older contestants, the first publicly diagnosed alopecia competitor, and the first mother to place. Eckert emphasizes inclusivity in pageantry and seeks to inspire more American women to join. The Miss Universe final will stream in the U.S. on Peacock at 8 p.m. ET.
