'It makes me hungry for next year' - Sarah Gigante falls away from podium at Tour de France Femmes but takes heart from progress
Briefly

Sarah Gigante finished the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift in sixth place overall, losing her podium position after a tough final stage. Ahead of the last stage, she was second but struggled during the HC climb of Col de Joux-Plane and fell behind the leading group. Gigante lost significant time on the descent, finishing 3:53 behind on the stage. Despite the setback, she felt she had improved from the previous year, indicating a better overall performance even with one place higher.
Gigante stated, "It was a super hard day. I was already feeling not so strong, physically going up the Joux-Plane. I was hoping to get away and to have a head start for the downhill, but then actually, I was pretty much getting dropped by the top, so I knew it would be hard, because I couldn't rely on just being stronger."
Reflecting on her overall performance, Gigante said, "It feels like a lot better week than last year, even though it's only one place better, I think I improved a lot."
