Sean Burt has been appointed technical director of Ipswich Town Women. He joins from Heart of Midlothian, where he was head of recruitment for the women's team and previously served as assistant manager. Burt will oversee all football matters at Ipswich and will work alongside interim head coach David Wright after Joe Sheehan stepped down. Ipswich sit bottom of Women's Super League 2 after one win in 11 games following promotion. Chairman Mark Ashton said Burt brings valuable experience and will work with staff to continue progress. Burt leaves Hearts in third place in SWPL 1, and manager Evie Olid credited him with driving the club's transition to professionalism. The Women's Football Weekly podcast returns with new episodes on BBC Sounds.
