Debany Davila moved from Texas to New York and, after finding no sports bar showing a New York Liberty game, co-founded Blazers to make women's sports the main event. Blazers opened in 2025 at 308 Bedford Ave. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and grew from chance meetings on the dating app Hinge. The space features murals by Corie Mattie, who painted at California's first women's sports bar Watch Me!, and a Trailblazer Room with portraits of Chloe Kim, Serena Williams, Kristi Yamaguchi and Amanda Nunes and a mirror reading "You're a trailblazer too." Co-founder Chandler Robertson emphasized brighter, welcoming colors over traditional dark sports-bar aesthetics.
