Flawless Katie Taylor puts on a masterclass to beat Amanda Serrano for the third time
Briefly

Taylor secured a split decision victory over Serrano in their latest fight, marking a pivotal moment in women's boxing. Judges scored it 97-93 and 95-95. The bout was notably uneventful compared to their previous encounters, with both fighters adopting conservative strategies. Despite throwing fewer punches, Taylor's accuracy and effective movement paved the way for her win. The fight concluded with Taylor gaining significant momentum in the last rounds, solidifying her status in the boxing community.
The opening round was the most conservative there has been between them, barely a punch thrown and none landed of any consequence, a far cry from Texas when Serrano bounced Taylor off the ropes with a thumping left hook.
Taylor has settled every argument here. Even Serrano's coach Jordan Maldonado, who had accused Taylor of dirty tactics in the ring in Texas, wore a look of acknowledgement after the decision.
Any lingering doubt that carried over has been erased and for Taylor it will represent her biggest achievement even if it wasn't her best performance.
Once again Serrano threw more punches, 382 to Taylor's 231 according to Compubox with both landing 70. But clearly the judges felt Taylor's landed with more accuracy and crispness.
