Briefly

Lotte Kopecky showcased her dominance in cycling by winning her seventh consecutive Belgian national title in the individual time trial, finishing with a time of 24:37 on a 20.1-kilometer course. She triumphed over Marthe Goossens by nearly a minute, with Lotte Claes finishing third. Kopecky expressed confidence in her performance and noted the challenge posed by Goossens, who she nearly overtook. As a multi-time champion, she is poised as the favorite for the upcoming road race, stating the race would be complex requiring strategic decisions.
"I had a good feeling, as far as that is possible in a time trial," Kopecky said in the post-race interview. "I was immediately on a good pace and was able to continue it well to the finish."
Starting last as defending champion, Kopecky came close to overtaking Goossens. "I was getting closer and closer to Marthe who had started in front of me, although she finished very strongly. It was difficult to pass her," Kopecky said to Sporza.
