Elena Svitolina beat Coco Gauff 6-1 6-2 in under an hour to reach her first Australian Open semi-final and return to the world's top 10. Gauff made 26 unforced errors and was unable to mount a response. Svitolina has now reached her fourth major semi-final and said returning to the top 10 after maternity leave was a season goal. Top seed Aryna Sabalenka beat 18-year-old Iva Jovic 6-3 6-0 in sweltering conditions, praising Jovic's performance.
