In a recent interview, Jessica Hecht revealed that she auditioned for the role of Monica Geller on Friends, but was not cast, partly due to her physical size compared to the other actors. Hecht feels Courteney Cox was the perfect fit for the role, yet she believes her own stature contributed to her being overlooked. Nonetheless, she was able to make a mark on the series as Susan Bunch, expressing fond memories of her role and the dynamic of the show's early days when it was just starting out.
