"Current owners, the South African Enthoven family-who also own the restaurant chain Nando's- bought Spier Wine Farm in 1993. Their vision for the farm was to leave everything better than they found it. The past few years have seen Spier refocus on this mission through restoration of the original buildings, regenerative farming, and a year-long renovation project that elevated the hotel with fewer guest rooms and more thoughtful offerings."

Spier Hotel offers leisure amenities including a heated lap pool, a new spa with an indulgent bathhouse, and a rooftop bar serving Méthode Cap Classique with mountain views. The property forms part of Spier Wine Farm, where wine tastings, art tours, medicinal plant education, and a working farm coexist. The Enthoven family purchased the farm in 1993 and pursued restoration, regenerative farming, and a year-long hotel renovation that reduced room count for more thoughtful offerings. Check-in takes place at a wine bar, flagship wines like Creative Block 3 feature prominently, and around 1,000 South African artworks are displayed across the grounds.
