Promoting Student Engagement, Health Innovation With Grants
Briefly

Elon University launched the Andrew G. Bennett '08 Student Wellness Innovation Grants, providing funding for student-led projects focused on enhancing the campus community's well-being. The funding was repurposed from an underutilized safe ride program to encourage innovative wellness initiatives among students. The project proposals, evaluated on feasibility and innovation, must align with HealthEU goals and target at least one wellness dimension. Consultations with university officials support the sustainability of these initiatives and their integration into campus life beyond individual students' tenures.
The Andrew G. Bennett '08 Student Wellness Innovation Grants provide funding for student-led projects that aim to enhance the university community's overall well-being.
University leadership redirected previously endowed funds to encourage student innovation in health and wellness, acknowledging the changing needs of the campus community.
Projects funded through the initiative must align with HealthEU goals and address at least one of the six wellness dimensions: community, emotional, financial, physical, purpose, and social.
By promoting partnerships and consultations, the initiative encourages the sustainability of projects beyond the students' time at the university.
