Adding in-line hyperlinks to text in Captivate 12.6? - eLearning
Briefly

"Hi all - I have a project where I need to be able to link to an external website. I want the learner to see underlined words that they can select to open the website in a new tab. The instructions given say 'select the text, go to the Link section of the Properties panel and add the URL there' but when I do that, it makes all of the text in the textbox a hyperlink, rather than just the text I've selected."
"(The link then doesn't work when I preview it locally, but I can test to see if that's just a local issue). Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, or any better resources on hyperlinking? Given that the output is an HTML page, I find it hard to believe that hyperlinking is so complicated. Thanks for any help."
A project requires linking to an external website so learners can click underlined words to open the site in a new tab. The authoring tool's Link property applies the URL to the entire textbox instead of only the selected words. The created hyperlink visually underlines text but unexpectedly converts all textbox content into one link. Previewing locally shows the link does not work, though local preview issues are suspected. The desired behavior is a partial inline link that opens in a new browser tab. Guidance and resources on proper hyperlinking for HTML output are requested.
