Meta is redirecting its focus towards a lightweight mixed-reality headset, known as 'Puffin', expected to launch by the end of 2026. The company has sidelined plans for its previously rumored Quest 4 variants, 'Pismo Low' and 'Pismo High', as well as a high-end headset named La Jolla that was to arrive in 2027. The Puffin headset, designed to look like a set of glasses, weighs only 110 grams and operates without controllers, relying on eye gestures for navigation. The device will run on HorizonOS and appears targeted at productivity and entertainment applications rather than gaming.
