Display-less fitness bands are returning, offering distraction-free measurement of core health metrics. Polar introduced a simple Loop tracker that carries its Generation 3.5 optical heart-rate sensor. The Loop connects via Bluetooth to smartphones and pairs with Polar smartwatches for GPS-based activities, laps, and external sensors like bike cadence. A small module measuring 27mm by 42mm by 9mm attaches to a lightweight fabric band; the package includes small and medium/large bands and a charger. The unit weighs 29 grams and delivers approximately a week of battery life between charges. The Loop aims to provide comfortable, sleep-focused tracking without subscription fees.
