"Terri is our executive director. We know she is leading us in the best way possible. While there might be some differences in opinions or questions that are being asked, it's all in good faith of knowing that we do what's right for all of the players."
"The three-page letter sent highlighted 'serious concerns about how the PA is handling the current negotiations' for a new CBA, 'including the lack of adequate player involvement in the process.'"
"According to a social media post from the union, 84% of the players who responded that they 'would not accept 15% and want the union to keep negotiating.'"
WNBPA vice president Breanna Stewart and first vice president Kelsey Plum sent a three-page letter to executive director Terri Jackson highlighting serious concerns about how the players association is handling current CBA negotiations, particularly regarding inadequate player involvement. Stewart clarified the letter was intended to get the executive committee back on track to secure the best possible deal, not to undermine Jackson or create division. The union held a players call addressing these concerns and presented a survey asking whether players would accept the league's proposal of 50% of net revenue (less than 15% of gross revenue) in an eight-year deal or continue negotiating. Eighty-four percent of responding players chose to keep negotiating rather than accept the current proposal.
