A second former Nationals player has been hired to manage in the Pacific Time Zone after Kurt Suzuki joined the Los Angeles Angels. Former Nationals right-hander Craig Stammen will serve as the San Diego Padres’ manager. Stammen was drafted in the 12th round in 2005, debuted in 2009, appeared in 229 games with a 3.91 ERA and 1.310 WHIP, then spent six seasons with the Padres.
