While racing for a loose puck, Charlie Lindgren flips Steven Stamkos after pitchforking him in the nads
"Upon closer look, Lindgren poke-checked the puck away first as he slid his stick along the ice, but as Stamkos arrived, his goalie twig slid up into Stamkos's berries, flipping the future Hockey Hall of Famer high into the air."
""I'm thinking we call this the pole vault here by Steve Stamkos," Alan May said while Monumental Sports Network aired highlights from the second period. "He goes up and over." He added, "Watch where this stick goes in Steve Stamkos." The word I think May's looking for here is testicles. "It was amazing he was able to get up and walk away from that one," May concluded."
"And to be clear, by berries, I mean Stamkos's nads. His stones. His cojones."
Alex Ovechkin and Steven Stamkos traded goals in the first period. In the second period Stamkos crashed into Charlie Lindgren during a puck race. Lindgren poke-checked the puck away while sliding his stick along the ice; as Stamkos arrived the goalie’s stick slid up and struck Stamkos in the groin, flipping him high into the air. Broadcasters likened the play to a pole vault and noted where the stick made contact. Commentators expressed surprise that Stamkos was able to get up and walk away, though he may be in visible discomfort afterward.
