Washington, DC Metro police officer Daniel Hodges said President Donald Trump’s $1.8 billion slush fund could finance future violence by domestic terrorists. The Justice Department created an “Anti-Weaponization Fund” as part of a settlement in Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS over leaked tax returns by a former official. Hodges filed a lawsuit to block the fund and described it as a retainer for attackers. Hodges said his attorney, Brendan Ballou, approached him to serve as a plaintiff, and he agreed to help stop the spending.
