Ryan Leonard scored two points in a 6-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers, tying for the Capitals' top scorer in March. He recorded nine points, including six goals. Leonard's scoring surge follows a point drought in February. Head coach Spencer Carbery praised Leonard's competitive nature and desire to be involved in critical game situations. Leonard's contributions have placed him among the top rookie scorers in Capitals history, with 39 points in 68 games, the highest for a Caps rookie since 2007-08.
