Ilya Protas and Andrew Cristall both score in Hershey Bears' 2-1 victory over Syracuse Crunch
""You know, it was great entry, we won the battle in the corner," Protas told Hershey's Jesse Liebman during the second intermission. "I had a little bit of space, take it to the net, and got lucky and hit the net.""
""Really unselfish change by Stromer (Matt Strome)," Cristall said after the game. "I kinda came flying in and Boggie (Bogdan Trineyev) made a really good play to Pro (Ilya Protas). I was yelling for it, and Pro found me. I tried to have some patience and put it into the back of the net.""
The Hershey Bears improved to 7-4-1 with a 2-1 victory over the Syracuse Crunch at Upstate Medical University Arena. Rookies Ilya Protas and Andrew Cristall provided the offense, with Protas opening scoring 11:47 into the second period on his first professional power-play goal after a slingshot entry and a right-circle shot past Brandon Halverson. Cristall scored the game-winner on a backhand rebound following a reverse and feed by Bogdan Trineyev. Protas recorded the primary assist, marking his third multi-point game of the season. Declan Carlile scored a late power-play goal for Syracuse, and Clay Stevenson made 22 saves.
