Hudson Thornton, former captain of the Prince George Cougars, is set to join the University of Saskatchewan Huskies next season. He spent the 2024-25 season under an AHL contract with the Hershey Bears but only played eight games. Thornton was loaned to the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears, recording 16 points in 49 games. He previously played seven games with the South Carolina Stingrays and scored the game-winning goal to eliminate them from the Kelly Cup playoffs. He will be studying business at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.
